Andy Dearwater received his BFA in painting in 1982 from the Columbus College of Art and Design. After working for more than 30 years as an illustrator and graphic designer as well as running his design firm, Dearwater Design for 25 years, he started painting again for himself. Creating his personal work from Winter Street Studios, Studio 7, subjects range from portraits to figures to landscapes to still lifes completed in the studio and on location. Recently, he has traveled to Ireland and Catalina Island, California to paint on location, but also enjoys painting urban scenes from Houston’s near east and north sides. Andy aspires to see carefully, paint freely.
