Emma Balder is a visual artist with a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has been recognized in several publications including Art MazeMag, Fresh Paint Magazine, Dialogist, Denver Life Magazine, and 303 Magazine. Emma has exhibited extensively in the US and abroad in spaces such as Trestle Gallery in New York, Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, Aqua Art Fair in Miami, and Stella Ripley Contemporary in Quebec, Canada. The artist was awarded a Staff Artist Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center and named a finalist of the Peripheral Vision Foundation Fellowship. She has facilitated fiber painting workshops throughout Colorado, including at the MCA Denver, and has received support for her work from organizations such as the Dave Bown Projects and Meow Wolf. Emma is currently an artist in residence at BOX13 ArtSpace in Houston, Texas.
